Spice Boys: Say You'll be There

Sunday, July 21

All images Courtesy of Fucking Young

While browsing through Solestruck.com's blog I stumbled upon a little piece of heaven. It was literally the best thing I've layed eyes upon. A Spice Boys editorial in the men's fashion magazine Fucking Young. I've always aspired to be like the Spice Girls but, as a young boy I've never really been able to recreate what the Spice Girls did. What's better than finding my favorite girl group revitalized as a sexy boy band.

Keep it Simple

Saturday, July 20

When I woke up this morning I just honestly felt blank. Like a completely blank canvas. I probably just woke up on the wrong side of the bed but I was regretting getting the day started. To make matters worse, I had to be to work in fifteen minutes which meant another day of generic black clothing. At that point I just said fuck it, I'm going to wear what I want! Just the idea of it made me feel better.

Dr. Martens Spikes

I really love spikes and I also really love Dr. Martens shoes. Both together is like heaven built into British footwear. I currently own two pairs of Dr. Martens and I'm hoping that by next week I'll have three. The only part holding me back is the decision making process. I've got a black pony hair boot with leopard spots and a metallic pewter shoe, so the question becomes this time; boot or shoe? I've narrowed it down to four options. Let's compare them.

Back in Chevy Chase

Wednesday, July 17

Today my mother and I were back in Chevy Chase, to run some errands. As I mentioned before, I really love Chevy Chase, it's the perfect mix between a happening downtown, sophisticated living, and art. While I didn't get the chance to really do my thing because we were in such a hurry (and it was close to 100°) but I did capture the few moments where we actually stood still.

Yeezy for A.P.C.

Kanye West and A.P.C. collaborated to produce a capsule collection. The eight piece collection features basics that are very representative of Yeezy's personal style and the minimalist aesthetic that A.P.C. is know for. Prices ranged from $120 - $250. It debuted two days ago and was instantly sold out. Don't fret because everything is available for preorder. Check out the pieces from the collection below and preorder the pieces here: A.P.C. Trends: Spring Summer 2014 Florals

Tuesday, July 16

Don't know if anyone else noticed, but florals were big again on the Spring Summer 2014 runways. Bringing a sense of softness and romanticism to classic, masculine silhouettes. This has definitely shown us that masculinity isn't defined by print or colors and instead by silhouettes. Take a look below at some of Menswear 2014's looks.

Take it Easy

There is nothing I love more than a white t-shirt. It is by far the most versatile piece any man or woman could ever own. It can dress up or down and pairs with almost anything. That's why you'll see me in a white t-shirt so often. Especially because I have a 85% dark wardrobe.

SSENSE.com

All Photos Courtesey of SSENSE.com

When I think of online shopping, SSENSE.com is the first site that comes to mind. However, I suppose I should really say that Ssense.com is an online shopping experience. It's a website that is dedicated to quality and more times than not it has more to offer than it's online competitors. Ssense.com is simply wonderful.

Better Luck Next Time

What I love most about having this blog is that it has given my friends a reason in which to spend time together more and do silly things. Of course they support my decision and try to help me make it the best blog possible, but, they love to give me a hard time when we are doing our photos!! But it's always fun and afterwards we always go off and play! It seems like we'll never grow up.

Big Bang's TaeYang: Newest Fashion Icon

Saturday, July 13

It seems Korean boy band, Big Bang, has a new fashionista. Although G-Dragon is widely known for his daring looks and designer clothing, it appears that our tiny vocalist and powerhouse dancer, Taeyang is also making a name for himself as a fashionista.

A Day in Ardmore

I've been doing a lot more traveling recently and honestly I've been enjoying it. The world outside of Philadelphia is actually more interesting than I ever could have thought! Today's travels took me to Ardmore, Pennsylvania to visit some old friends. The area was gorgeous and I wish I could have explored it more thoroughly but the rain kept me from doing so.

My Buffalo x Solestruck 9020-2-16 Mens

Friday, July 12

Earlier I had blogged about how impressed I was with Solestruck's Manila Muscle lookbook. Then I went on about how I went on an ordering frenzy and purchased more shoes than a guy like me actually needs. Well, the shoes came in just the other day so I have to give you guys a product review!

Raf Simmons SS 2014

All Photos Courtesy of Style.com

Although Raf Simmons is critically acclaimed, I had never really paid any attention to the brand. I would quickly scroll past the name on Ssense or Luisaviaroma and didn't even think twice. However, I finally decided to see what all the hype was about and look at his runway collection. Immediately obsessed; literally a major moment for me. It's very my style, it just took me forever to realize it.

Our Day in Chinatown

Thursday, July 11

Yesterday I had the best day I've had in a really long time! I went on an impromptu visit to Philadelphia with three of my very best friends. It was so last minute and I had been running errands previously so I didn't have time to get as dressed up as I would have liked, but regardless we had such a good time.

My good friend Chang is interning for an interior design studio in Philly this summer so she doesn't get the chance to come home so often. So her sister and my good friend, Joyce, decided it would be a good idea to go up and pay her a visit and spend some time with her. So Joyce, Bethanie and I all decided to go see her.

KTZ SS 2014

Wednesday, July 10

Photos Courtesy of Style.com

When you think of bold and graphic, KTZ is the first brand that comes to my mind. KTZ is that iconic punk brand from London that Rihanna and Kanye love to wear! I've always loved bold designs and KTZ's Spring/Summer 2014 Runway show had me so upset because I couldn't get to it!

I've Got Batman's Socks

Tuesday, July 9

Attitude is a big part of wearing certain looks. You've also got to just have some fun. I've been having fun (almost too much) with my looks lately and I think it shows. I wear ridiculous things but they suit me because I'm always having a good time. These Batman socks are just that: ridiculous, and I love them.

Cool Kids Can't Die

Monday, July 8

I've become all too familiar with the term soft grunge. In fact, I think my best friend has used that term to describe me on more than one occasion. Grunge has definitely become my look in this last year and I openly embrace it. I mix it with more classic and preppy pieces to make it softer thus, coming to soft grunge and not full on grunge.

Solestruck Manila Muscle Lookbook

Sunday, July 7

All Content Courtesy of Solestruck.com

Can we talk about how Solestruck's new Summer Lookbook: Manila Muscle is the most amazing thing I've seen recently? Like, I'm actually sure I died a little as I was scrolling through the pictures. There wasn't one look that I wouldn't want to wear myself, and I think if that's how Manila Muscle left me feeling, then Solestruck did an excellent job.

Meshed Up

Thursday, July 4

As the weather gets hotter, I honestly start to care less about how much my clothing actually covers my form. My only concern is staying as cool and comfortable as possible. Now, that doesn't mean that I am willing to sacrifice style for comfort. I instead look for great pieces that are functional and fashionable.

Inverted Commas

Wednesday, July 3

Photos Courtesy of Inverted Commas

One of my favorite things to do in my free time at home is to browse the internet and find cool things to  buy. Etsy is one of the best places to find one of a kind, cool things. In fact there's an awesome shop on  Etsy that makes the most amazing tote bags I've ever seen. Inverted Commas is the name of the store and after looking at their products I am thinking I might have to break down and buy one!

Golden Boy

Monday, July 1

Despite all the black that I like to wear normally there are still days when I feel I need to have a little fun. That means putting on something a little bit brighter and even a little silly!
