Rick Owens is breaking fashion convention!

Rick Owens is easily one of my favorite designers. Although my aesthetic may not match that statement, it is merely more so because I can't currently afford to wear all of his clothes. That being said, Rick Owens is still enjoyable for the shows he puts on as well as the interesting silhouettes he creates. For his most recent menswear show, I believe Rick Owens surprised us all, showcasing many items with the purpose to be worn in a multitude of ways. The most infamous were tunics that could be worn upside-down. However, when worn in that fashion, we viewers got a couple sneak peeks at the models' family jewels.

Many people I talked to were appalled by this vulgarity, however I applauded Owens' boldness and ingenuity. We've grown accustomed to seeing practically naked women strut down catwalks so it is only natural we receive the male equivalents. Lest we forget, fashion shows and fashion itself is a form of entertainment, the Rick Owens A/W 2015 did just that and, will be remembered for years to come as being completely outside the box.
