D.GNAK by KANG.D

Kang D. himself

I was first introduced to D.GNAK by KANG.D through Solestruck. I ordered a pair of his shoes from them because I loved the design for summer! Now I've discovered his clothing which I love just as much as the shoes!!! What I love about his designs is that they are simple and clean yet stylish and versatile. A lot of his jackets are designed to be worn in more ways than one and feature removable elements for an all together different look. His aesthetic is very Korean but I don't think that is a bad thing. Korean men are some of the best dressed men in the world but not a lot of people know that yet. I think he and Juun J. will be able to bring a hint of korean flair to the world. These are the pieces that I love from him.

If you love Kang D.'s designs as much as I do then you can shop him at Luisaviaroma.com or you can check him out at his own website DGNAK.co.kr. Do you love his designs as much as I do?

Designer Knockoffs

Juun J. teamed up with Swiss artists Alex and Felix to create a collection with the unique prints of the 13 Queens. The prints are both unique and powerful and I really like the imagery. However with all good things, there are some copies. I found the knockoff on one of my favorite South Korean Street Stores By the R. THe knockoff is under $50 and the original is $210. I'm not sure which I would buy. I don't know if I could exactly justify spending $200+ on a shirt but at the same time I don't know if I would want to support a fake. I don't know, I'll think about it.

What do you guys think? Also make sure to Alex and Felix's 13 Queens art. I think it is some of the most intense portraits I've seen.

OMFG: Bryan Boy For Adrienne Landau

While doing my daily dose of Tumbling today came across a fab picture from the always amazing Women's Wear Daily (which everyone should follow because they have all of the latest info on the goings-on in the fashion industry). The picture (above) of a male and female model wearing cropped fur pullover. Low and behold I clicked on the link below and was taken to an article, stating that esteemed fashion blogger BryanBoy had partnered with designer Adrienne Landau to produce this youthful and eccentric line. Fur in every color, bow ties to cowls, rabbit to fox, BryanBoy has it all figured out. I can't wait until the collection is released in the fall, I'll be one of the first people ready to make a purchase.

What do you guys think of the upcoming collaboration, hit or miss. Let me know what you guys think below. For more information about their collaboration check out the article on WWD.

Trend: Designer Inspired Pieces

Friday, January 11

So it's hard now, not to see this upcoming trend whenever you're looking through the fashion web. It's something so interesting that I have to love it. It looks like our favorite street fashion brands are taking inspiration from our favorite and most well known designers are being copied by our favorite street brands, allowing us to have a taste of the awesome designs that we can't afford at the designer price point!

CHANEL
$41.99

Everyone has wanted to own something Chanel! The Fake "Chanel" Sweatshirt is right on trend and with a little bit of humor too.

GIVENCHY

32.99

This is based on Givenchy's Rottweiler t-shirt design. This design has been popping up on the street everywhere and can be found at retailers like Romwe and Choies.

PRADA
$136.51

This is a replica of the  Prada stacked brogue wingtip from last season. They were released in limited quantities and cost upwards of $500. You can now have it for a fraction of the price.

CELINE

$61.00

This is actually a design by Brian Lichtenberg available at Revolve Clothing. The words have been changed to FELINE and MEOW so to be humorous yet still retain the look of the Celine Paris t-shirt.

All in all, I have to say that I actually really like the trend. It's very interesting that now, we can all show which designer we love. After all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Look around. You'll find some great designer inspired pieces.
