Juun J. teamed up with Swiss artists Alex and Felix to create a collection with the unique prints of the 13 Queens. The prints are both unique and powerful and I really like the imagery. However with all good things, there are some copies. I found the knockoff on one of my favorite South Korean Street Stores By the R. THe knockoff is under $50 and the original is $210. I'm not sure which I would buy. I don't know if I could exactly justify spending $200+ on a shirt but at the same time I don't know if I would want to support a fake. I don't know, I'll think about it.

What do you guys think? Also make sure to Alex and Felix's 13 Queens art. I think it is some of the most intense portraits I've seen.

Clothing Love; Iridium Clothing and Lab & ID

Friday, April 19

You guys know how I love my Tumblr and LOOKBOOK. My LOOKBOOK and my Tumblr always bring me to new and exciting things! I find that I always discover wonderful fashion tips and great new clothing brands that I am not sure I would have heard of on my own. The first I discovered was Iridium Clothing. I found this brand through the Black Fashion Tumblr. I was intrigued by the outfit in a submission. The leather pants were just too amazing. After some searching I found their website, Thinknscience.com. I am literally obsessed with everything on the site! Leather pants, leather t-shirts, bomber jackets! It's very street and very much my aesthetic. They even offer custom made clothing options! I haven't ordered anything from them yet but I see myself picking up some things in the very near future!

The other website, LabandID.com I discovered through LOOKBOOK. A particular lookbooker caught my attention. I decided to look through his account to see if he had a blog and instead I found a website! The site doesn't have much up but it looks very promising! The style of the clothing is very Givenchy and I think that in time it will take off! I really want the graphic t-shirts! I love a bold print!

Joyrich Online Boutique

Monday, April 15

Joyrich is back! Well, not actually back but the Joyrich online boutique is now back up and running, and, I am so excited for it. Joyrich only has one location within the United States so this online boutique helps the rest of us who don't live within a close distance to LA. I went to the boutique on La Brea back in April of 2012 and I loved every part of it! Quirky streetwear for the individual who isn't afraid to stand out! I won't be going back to LA until September so I can't wait to order some pieces to keep me satisfied until then!

Make sure to stop by and check out the revamped boutique at Joyrichstore.com, I promise you guys won't be disappointed.

Time in Mourning

Tuesday, March 19

I have to say I'm grateful that spring is coming. Even though spring is when I get the sickest. Even though winter fashion is, in my personal opinion, the most fashionable the cold weather gets me depressed. I also hate the fact that all my jackets are at home so I can't look stylish.

This outfit was thrown together in a matter of minutes. I was getting ready to go my accounting class and I couldn't figure out what to wear. The weather is getting nicer so the obnoxiously large coats are no longer necessary. So i grabbed this electric blue blazer that I got on Fifth Avenue and decided I had to go from there. The blazer for me represents the changing of seasons, where colors are more than appropriate and a light jacket is all you need. A pulled a white t-shirt with a studded collar to go with it because I always white t-shirts and then decided why not wear the pants I wore to prom. Black harem pants that I have worn in a previous look that I absolutely love. To finish off the look I added my Hellraiser loafers and my Jil Sander inspired beanie. I think this added the drama that I always look for in an outfit, that wow piece.

I'm wearing:
Jil Sander Inspired Veiled Beanie
H&M Electric Blue Blazer
Zara Skull Brocade Tee
Deepstyle Pleated Harem Pants
Unif Hellraiser

The end result of the look was something that I really liked and it showed in the way that I strutted to and from classes. A lot of people stopped me because they were in awe by the fact that my beanie had a veil attached to it. This was one of my favorite outfits. In these pictures I changed the t-shirt to the skull though because I did not take the other one home for winter break!! Let me know what you guys think of this look, was it overkill?

Trend: Designer Inspired Pieces

Friday, January 11

Photos Courtesy of Choies.com and Revolveclothing.com

So it's hard now, not to see this upcoming trend whenever you're looking through the fashion web. It's something so interesting that I have to love it. It looks like our favorite street fashion brands are taking inspiration from our favorite and most well known designers are being copied by our favorite street brands, allowing us to have a taste of the awesome designs that we can't afford at the designer price point!

CHANEL
$41.99

Everyone has wanted to own something Chanel! The Fake "Chanel" Sweatshirt is right on trend and with a little bit of humor too.

GIVENCHY

32.99

This is based on Givenchy's Rottweiler t-shirt design. This design has been popping up on the street everywhere and can be found at retailers like Romwe and Choies.

PRADA
$136.51

This is a replica of the  Prada stacked brogue wingtip from last season. They were released in limited quantities and cost upwards of $500. You can now have it for a fraction of the price.

CELINE

$61.00

This is actually a design by Brian Lichtenberg available at Revolve Clothing. The words have been changed to FELINE and MEOW so to be humorous yet still retain the look of the Celine Paris t-shirt.

All in all, I have to say that I actually really like the trend. It's very interesting that now, we can all show which designer we love. After all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Look around. You'll find some great designer inspired pieces.
