Trend Alert: Black and White!!!

Black and White is an obvious trend right now. Like I'm pretty sure you can't swing your arms freely without running into a person who is rocking the trend. What makes the trend so awesome and versatile  is that it doesn't look or scream trendy. Black and white is by far the one of easiest of color combinations to pull off, and, it almost always looks totally chic and effortless.

I personally love black and white and there are so many ways to do it!!!!!! Below I'll show how I would style the trend.

For the Street:

Black and white in terms of street wear is totally cool. It makes a powerful statement. Black and white is edgy and simple. Pieces like vertical stripe skinnies are awesome and right on trend. 

For Cocktail Hour:

Black and white is absolutely perfect for cocktail hour. It's elegant and chic. Simple and elegant accents are what I think are best.

For a night out:

Alright these pants are fabulous, and so is that top!!! I love stripes in black and white and vertical stripes are just that much more flattering! You'll be sure to stand out even next to bright colors.

For strolling through the city/ a night out:

There isn't anything to say I just love this outfit!!! I think it looks great!!

For a casual affair:

This is inspired by an outfit I just wore recently!! I always wear black and white because it's easy to coordinate!!!

DbyD by KANG.D Cut-out Brogues pt. 2

So my shoes came and I am sooo excited. I made sure to take some pics of me unwrapping them. These shoes are just exactly what I needed and I can't wait to rock them with a pair of skinnies or harem trousers. Take a look below:

Overall I'm so happy with these. They are chunky which I prefer and they are super comfortable and lightweight. The button enclosures on the side will definitely save my life because I know that I'm terribly infamous for being too lazy to tie and untie my shoes. I can't wait to start wearing these around campus!!!!!

Weekly Wanting Four: Hermès Black Croc Leather T-shirt

So the Weekly Wanting continues into it's fourth week! This week what I want to get is really a far stretch. I don't think it's something I could so easily come across, however, that's what makes it so desirable.

This week I really want the Hermès Black Croc Leather T-shirt. It comes in an insurmountable $91,500. For a t-shirt that is more than I could ever imagine paying. I really mean that too. I really like it though because the texture and quality are top notch. What else would you expect from Hermès anyway?

And I'm not the only one who thinks it's expensive, it seems like Refinery29 thinks it's a crazy price as well. Check out their article on it!!!

Brand Obsession: Mr. Gentleman

Thank you to the Internet for allowing me instant access to fashion at my fingertips. I swear I wouldn't be able to live without the internet because each and everyday I'm looking for new designers, trends, and specials. Today I came across a new brand that I was instantly obsessed with.

Japanese label Mr. Gentleman is the bomb and I literally mean it!! Takeshi Osumi and Yuichi Yoshii have created that feels very American yet has more of the boldness that is unique to Japan. The collection had a distinct 80s feel with oversize shirts, varsity jackets, argyle separates, lamé, and shorts that hit the mid-thigh. Even though I'm not a big fan of the 80s I really could see myself rocking some of the pieces. Below are a few of the looks that I loved!!!

So what do you guys think of the collection? Do you think it has the potential to flourish and expand? I really hope so because I would love to get my hands on the third to last look's shorts!! DbyD by KANG.D Cut-Out Brogues

So I am finally joining in on the cut-out shoe trend. Now, I'm not saying I'm a late bloomer and just started to appreciate the trend; it's just that cool trends like this one are almost always dominated by women and are hard to find for under 1000USD, which is a pain in the ass. However, my lover (Solestruck.com) has presented me with an amazing cut-out shoe which will perfect for the warm weather that is soon to be upon us.

These shoes are the answer to my warm weather footwear problem. I haven't any shoes that are really made for warm weather. I open my closet and see sneakers and boots. I have TOMS which I love and thongs from Hollister but I've totally outgrown that distressed bootcut jeans and fitted graphic tee phase.   I will get them tomorrow so I'll update you guys with pictures so I hope you guys will stay tuned. I'll just have to decide how I want to pair them!! Can't wait!! <33

Blog Name Change

Hey guys, so I changed the name of my blog. I just really started to dislike my blog name because I felt like it just wasn't me after a while. Mr. Glamour Creator just began to sound kinda cheesy. Like I am a the originator of glamour, which is the farthest thing from the truth. The new name is TheFashMan, which is kinda a play on fashion and my last name which is Newman and the fact that my blog is still new because it sounds kinda like the freshman. I honestly like this one so much better and I hope you guys will still stay tuned to me and my new blog name.

Weekly Wanting # 3 Buffalo x Solestruck Platforms

The Weekly Wanting continues into it's third week with a pair of shoes. This week I have been dying for a pair of platform trainers. I honestly cannot comprehend why. Perhaps it is due to my reintroduction to the Spice girls or the fact that I love grunge (which platforms were a big part of). 

Now I ordered a pair of custom 12.5 cm platforms from a website called Maxstarstore.com but I've seen two other pairs that I want even more than my converse!!!!!!!

The first pair is from Solestruck.com, which is by far my favorite shoe store. They are a new collaboration between Buffalo (which is the platform brand of the 90s) and Solestruck themselves. They've invented fun and youthful shoes. The pair I've picked are so quirky. The black and white polka dots are totally fun the velcro closure is awesome and the platform is a whopping four inches which I love!!!!! They come in at a whopping 259.95 but that is only 30USD more than I paid for the Converse.

The other pair are also from the Buffalo x Solestruck collection and these are also totally awesome. This pair is totally on trend right now coming in a cool metallic gunmetal color. They are a low-top version of the first pair and are sans velcro which is totally okay because the color is totally sick!!!! These are also 4 inches and I know with these I will stand tall!!!

Hood By Air Fall 2013 Runway

So this post is a little dated because I discovered this brand a long time ago. As you know, while scrolling through the endless pages of Tumblr pictures I came across a picture of a model on the runway that I was so obsessed with!!! After a little bit of research I found the brand which is called Hood by Air. It's great!!! An urban street brand that A$AP Rocky wears regularly. I watched the Fall/Winter 2013 runway show and now I am an avid fan!!!! Look at the pictures of the runway show:
